Cheers to Fall: A Guide to Oktoberfest in Beaver, Ohio

Updated: Oct 17, 2023

The Oktoberfest in Beaver, Ohio, is a small and innocent festival on a single street in the center of town. Whether you are looking for something off the beaten path or a little side adventure that's manageable, Beaver, Ohio, is where you want to be. Remember that even though it says "Oktoberfest," this is not a celebration of all things Bavarian. The Beaver Oktoberfest has to do with the celebration of October in general, so you won't find lederhosen and beer here.

Location

Located on 7460 State Route 335, Beaver, OH, the festival takes place the first weekend in October. If you're heading down from the north, you'll want to take US Route 23 South toward Waverly and Piketon and exit at State Route 32 East until you reach the Beaver-Pike Road exit. You will follow the route here until you get to the town center. You should see a water tower with the town's name, but be careful. If you blink, you'll miss it.

Entertainment

The festival offers a variety of activities such as baby pageants, queen and court, and much more. One of the more exciting aspects of the festival is the car show where you can see a wide range of historic vehicles, not to mention a car that comes to life. I had the honor of seeing Bumblebee from the Transformers appear. The actor engaged with children and adults alike and was a big hit. There are rides for the kids and various arts and crafts vendors for the adults. Plus, you can browse craft vendors and listen to live music as you walk up and down the street.

Their entertainment offerings include a bandstand where local musicians can hop on stage and croon to the latest hits or the familiar oldies. Tractor pulls, and cornhole tournaments are

some of the other activities. This year, they offered the Whiz Bang science show and a petting zoo for the children to enjoy. And, of course, make sure to attend the parade on the festival's closing day and get there early so you can have the best seat in town.

Food and Beverage

The festival offers the usual food and beverage from fried foods and a fantastic cheeseburger option. They even have a breakfast and coffee truck if you arrive early enough or are just in the mood for French toast.

Admission

Admission to the Oktoberfest is free, but if you are interested in parking, you may need to take up the offer of the $5 parking in residential areas. Free and public parking will be difficult. You will also need to purchase a wristband if you or your kids want to experience any of the rides. The carnival workers will direct you to the ticket stand. You can't avoid ticket fees.

The Beaver, Ohio Oktoberfest is an event you want to attend. With its wide range of activities, delicious food and beverages, and top-notch entertainment, there's something for everyone. So what are you waiting for? Grab your friends and family and head to the festival for a weekend to remember!
